Veteran 1972 : This writer has an incurable extreme Trump Derangement Syndrome. No hope at all!

Dr Peter Jebaseelan Jesudason : Gunasegaram has exceeded himself in this article which reveals an advanced stage of Trump Derangement Syndrome ( TDS ). Furthermore, it is full of spite, inuendo and unsubstantiated claims befitting of a tabloid hack, not a serious journalist. 

To label Trump with the acronym TACO ( Trump Always Chickens Out ) reveals more about his detractors than Trump. Surely it was the right thing for Trump to agree to a ceasefire which Iran was " begging for " to quote Trump. 

Would Gunasegaram have preferred Trump to carry out his threat to end the civilisation of the Shia Islamist Ayatollahs who have blighted the lives of ordinary Iranians for the past 47 years? Bringing up the Epstein files to character assassinate Trump is a cheap shot. So what if Trump is mentioned 38 000 times? 

Is there any evidence which has come to light that he was involved in child sexual abuse? The answer is no. Trump reportedly fell out with Epstein and showed him the door at Mar a Lago. It was Trump who released the Epstein files, suggesting he has nothing personal to hide. Previous US Presidents blocked the release of the files. Why did Gunasegaram fail to mention this? 

Recently the IRGC carried out mass murder of unarmed Iranian citizens the vast majority of whom oppose the rule of this brutal religious dictatorship. Why has Gunasegaram studiously ignored the killing of reportedly 35 000 - 50 000 people? He seems to be confused about who the " Oppressed " and " Oppressor " are, like many of the Woke Left Champagne Socialists. 

The Ayatollahs have been planning for the " Death of America " and " Death of Israel " since they came to power in 1979. They have a Shia ideological aim to spread their brand of Islam in the Muslim world and they have succeeded to gain a foothold in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Bahrain and Yemen through their proxy armies ( Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthi ) and terror cells. 

Their cells are spread across the world and many terrrorist atrocities have been traced to Iran who are their paymasters. Vivian Balakrishnan should be lauded for openly expressing Singapore's position that it will not negotiate with the Iranian regime for safe passage because it breaks international law and normalises piratical and terroristic behaviour. 

Gunasegaram does not understand that the Straits of Hormuz is an international waterway and Iran has no right to block the passage of vessels or to charge a ransom to let vessels leave or enter the Straits. The IRGC exercises control over Hormuz by threats of drone and missile attacks. 

No civilised and decent country would do deals with an evil regime which is threatening to wreck the world economy. Malaysia foolishly thinks it has secured a coup by successfully negotiating for our vessels to have safe passage. 

But it would do nothing to help our economy or fuel prices because most ships are not leaving Hormuz for fear of attack. We need to eradicate the threat by piratical Iran, not negotiate with them. Otherwise, this would set a dangerous precedent and throw international maritime trade into chaos. 

Trump does not forget and I fear all the great diplomacy Anwar pulled off with Trump has gone to waste. We need to be on good terms with the world's largest economy and most powerful nation, which is also a vital democracy and not with a murderous religious dictatorship. Imagine Malaysia illegally claiming ownership to the Straits of Melaka, one of the busiest international waterways in the world and charging an enormous ransom for each ship passing the straits, othewise we would threaten to sink the ships. 

This would be regarded as a declaration of war by Malaysia and we would face dire international retaliatory action. Talking about low brow journalism and wicked innuendo, what wrong did Vivian Balakrishnan do by visiting a " convicted felon " Najib Razak who is his friend and who was out on appeal? Our very own PM Anwar is a convicted felon who was visited by all and sundry when he was out on appeal , in jail and now more so when he became PM. 

That was a below the belt cheap shot by Gunasegaram. We must always remember who caused this human and economic disaster. It was ideological hatred of Jews, Israel and the USA which initiated the war by Hamas invading Israel on October 7 2023 and committing the most unspeakble and sadistic atrocities known to man there. 

This set off a " ring of fire " with Israel being attacked on 7 fronts with Iran being the " head of the octopus " and the paymaster. All this while Iran caused havoc throughout the Middle East using proxies which have been decimated by Israel. Iran is now facing attack by USA and Israel, the countries which it has chanted wishes of death daily since 1979 for perverse religious reasons. 

The democratic and civilised countries cannot allow Iran to bring chaos to the world. They should stand by Israel and USA who are doing all the heavy lifting in trying to keep Hormuz free from attacks by the IRGC.
