“I want to say this to history experts in Malaysia: what use are you (to society)... as someone who is hired to lecture at a public university and being paid using taxpayers’ money, but you are scared to come forward to defend Malaysia’s history.

“You are not being useful just by sitting at the university… if you do not have the courage to engage with the people who are now in confusion about our nation’s history,” Khairy said.

World Citizen : Possibly those historians who tell the truth with be slapped with sedition and probably their livelihood taken away from them. They are supposed to tell only what the majority wants to hear. Have you considered that KJ? 

In this kind of environment, only the so called professors like Solelah Yaacob can thrive and continue spewing her lies. Historians like Ranjit Singh Malhi has written a number of history articles in Malaysiakini and he has told the true history of Malaysia. But that's where his stories end. No recognition by the government or the academic world. 

These are for our reading only. KJ, as a suggestion, why don't you advocate to the Malaysian government that our school children should be taught the true history of Malaya and not those concocted by the kankung professors that we have in our midst. That will validate your challenge to the history professors here. Don't you think?

MS : Have you invited the historian Dr. Ranjit Singh Malhi to your show? If not, why not? Is it because he may be politically incorrect and tell it as it is? Or that in your estimation, he is not a historian endorsed by the Madani state?

One : I think politicians should look in the mirror first to figure out who started the decline of our schools and universities! Today we have vice chancellors and deans who are not only incompetent but corrupt and are nothing but cronies. So don’t call others cowards when you and your political peers are the ones who make them what they are today.

Hothi : I would strongly recommend that Khairy should consider inviting Ranjit Singh Malhi onto his podcast. Many regard Dr Ranjit Singh Malhi as one of Malaysia’s most credible and courageous historians, and it would be refreshing to hear an open discussion on Malaysia’s true historical narrative from someone deeply grounded in facts and research.

Dr Suresh Kumar : This is a sign that the GE is around the corner. Never trust politicians blindly especially the UMNO politicians as well as all those politicians with a strong UMNO DNA, like the PKR fellas. It has even infected the DAP fellas since the past three years. 

Be wary, say NO to blind support much less treating them like demigods. Once bitten twice shy. Let me remind all of you that UMNO is the one who started the distortion of our history and KJ was very much part of the government when that was going on. Did he say a word then? Ziich?
