Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Malaysiakini : Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has called on the peace-loving majority
to speak up against narratives of hatred and slander being propagated by
a minority group against society in the country.
He said the
current situation appeared to reflect a “tyranny of the minority”, where
a small group of loud, angry individuals who spread slander was
attempting to impose their will on the majority of the people.
“Now,
it is the noisy minority - angry, cruel, stirring up emotions. They
gather, sow hatred, spread slander, and instil fear in others. “This seems like a tyranny of the minority. The oppression and cruelty of a small group forcing the larger group (majority).
Rakyat Tertindas : so says the guy who coined the term Kuil haram.
ScarletPanda9731 : Talk less; do more.
Never promise if you cannot keep your word.
Man is judged by what he does, not what he says.
Actions speak louder than words.
Honour all Agreements.
MA63 is one example
Entry to University should be based on MERIT, not on colour of the skin
Gerrymandering is.obscene and dirty politics. EC must adjust quickly before GE.
Don't say too late!
Dirty excuse!
Cannot do the job honestly, please get out! Don't sleep on your job.
Say No To Recycled Politicians : Let’s face it, there is a deep state operating and even PMX can’t do anything except talk some irrelevant things to the wrong audience. I look forward to him saying this to a Malay Audience.
This PMX is the biggest drama artist I have ever come across. The Hate Mongers are the likes of Akmal Salleh, Zakir Naik, Zamri Kalimuthu, Firdaus Wong, Riduan Tee, Asri,
Thousands of police reports have been filed against them, no action taken.
He wants the people to speak up against them & the Government remains silent but he wants the people to speak up ???
This is a joke. The man has totally lost it.
Dr Suresh Kumar : Now he is indirectly warning the nons by using the term 'tyranny of the minority'. Mind you, this is not the first time he is saying so. What about the tyranny of the majority led by you in that VICTORY ceremony proclamation?
What about the latest discriminatory rules being imposed on non-Muslim houses of worship? This pahtological liar will meet his Waterloo in the 16th GE as part of his KARMA. Can't wait.
Vijay 47 : Anwar Ibrahim, you never fail to prove that when it comes to blatant hypocrisy, none can match the levels you have accomplished. Not an inadvertent once, but repeatedly on occasions safe and convenient for you.
The latest display was at a Wesak Day function, previously about a year ago, at a Chinese event where you piously preached against threats to national peace. The implication is that the greatest challenge to racial harmony is from the Buddhists and Chinese, and by extension, the non-Muslims and non-Malays.
The hard truth, Anwar Ibrahim, is that you do not have the spine to speak out against the actual perpetrators of the recent, dangerous trends, generally from your own faith and religion. Just to quote a simple example – about 2 weeks ago we had the Rain Water Festival, a carefree celebration to bring the Kuala Lumpur residents together and at the same, give a boost to tourism.
The gala was a roaring success, but no thank to extremists who were hurling all kinds of accusations against the event.
And what was your contribution? For all your strutting about as some Islamic scholar, you could not even condemn the radicals for bringing further shame to Islam by praying that their God wash out the celebration with thunder, lightning, and storms.
Typical of you, you didn’t dare say a word against them.
Tell me, Anwar Ibrahim, who are those bringing gross disrespect to Islam? Perhaps I should also remind you of that devoid politician who seized a 107-year-old from the Hindus and transferred it to Muslims, labelling the deed as a “Victory for Islam”.
Is that how religious victories are measured?
I could go on forever, but the perception to many and even perhaps to most, is that salvation for this unfortunate nation cannot be expected from you.
We eagerly, maybe much more eagerly than you, await the General Elections.
