Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
DAP's red line for quitting govt not yet defined, reform push is priority, leaders say
Wednesday, August 19, 2026
Malaysiakini : DAP’s specific red line for remaining in or exiting the coalition
government has yet to be clearly defined, several DAP leaders told Malaysiakini.
Party
central executive committee (CEC) member Sheikh Umar Bagharib Ali said
the party’s recent national convention, where a majority of delegates
voted for the party to remain in the federal government, sent a clear
signal that DAP should strengthen its push for its agenda while
continuing to work within the current administration.
“That is the baseline entrusted to us through the vote and the support given at the convention. “So, if you ask me where the red line is, I think that needs to be elaborated further.
“And
I am confident that after that, the next level would be the Pakatan
Harapan presidential council, before it is brought to the cabinet,” he
said during an interview yesterday on an episode of KiniTV’s “Explain Sikit” podcast.
However, Sheikh Umar said the red line should not necessarily be understood as an ultimatum to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
DAP central executive committee member Sheikh Umar Bagharib Ali
“But
if by a red line we mean that if a certain matter is breached, then we
retreat and withdraw our support to remain in the government, I don’t
think that is the issue.
Dr Suresh Kumar : It's all political theatre. Decision already made to remain in Madani to enjoy positions and perks until the 16th GE. The almost 50% absentees is telling.
Now talking about red line this and red line that. You fellas better have red label and go to sleep. No one is buying your narratives any longer.
Fair Play : Bottom line is this.
UMNO is not a reliable and trustworthy political partner.
They are very adept at playing the game of running with the fox and hunting with the hound.
Recent state government elections in Johor and N9 are clear examples of their political strategy.
And now Pas want this collaboration to be repeated in Melaka. And the next. And the next.
But this scenario is also DAP strength for Malaysians who wanted a united Malaysia with equality for ALL MALAYSIANS.
All DAP needs is a visionary leader.
FIRST step is to replace their present SG in preparation for GE16.
apanama is back : DAP's so-called red line, so-called reform push, and so-called urging, urging, and urging are merely BUYTIME and are also taking the voters for a ride, again and again.
An obsession with perks, benefits, and pensions has overshadowed their value and principles.
DAP spins have become too NAUSEATING over time.
Look at the DAP's behaviour for the last 3 years and 9 months—the same political theatre. DAP keep on making statements. Yesterday, DAP urged Prime Minister Anwar, and today there is news about the red line and that line.
Look at the statement script again.
It is ALL THE SAME with different wordplay. DAP is now playing with words while taking its voters for granted.
The Sunday congress is a SPECIAL congress. DO NOT compare it with the previous congress that usually selects CEC members, and DO NOT compare it with general elections and state election turnover.
However, almost 50% of the delegates did not attend; it showed that everything is wrong with DAP. That is why all these fellows have been issuing statements since Sunday.
Playing with words. Usually, percentages hide the party's actual weaknesses.
Instead of minority approval, they are saying that a majority approved to remain.
Moreover, the 14 delegates spoke about remaining in MADani, which is akin to asking the minority attending delegates to vote to remain so that it will be majority approval.
DAP will NOT come up with any red line but will keep saying it to buy time until GE16.
Later they will say, "We have tried our best but lack of time." Another joke by DAP.
DAP is just playing games with voters, and voters should take note of this party, which is merely warming the seat in MADani.
Yesterday, there was news that Akmal said he won't work with DAP in Malacca, similar to what Onn Hafiz said during the Johor state election.
Look, a youth head of a party with fewer seats can bully a party with the most seats in the coalition, and the PM merely keeps quiet. What will happen if DAP said it won't work with UMNO Baru? Anwar will issue a statement immediately.
We have seen all these "WAYANG" for the last 3 years plus, and what will be the difference in the 'wayang' for the next 15 months?
Nothing about reform, which is dead. Just buy time! Even without remaining in the Cabinet, by supporting MADani, DAP can still push for reform since the man will not move his fingers.
This means there is no difference whether DAP remain or not.
DAP could not afford to lose their positions as ministers and deputy ministers, and their appointments to various GLCs, etc. It is lifetime benefits that they won't be seeing, maybe for the next 5 to 10 years.
