Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Tajuddin questions muftis, Muslim NGOs over 'silence' on Hadi's anti-DAP remarks
Saturday, August 22, 2026
Malaysiakini : National Unity Council member Tajuddin Rasdi has questioned the
silence of religious authorities, Muslim NGOs and academics over PAS
president Abdul Hadi Awang’s recent remarks against DAP and Malaysiakini. In
a statement, Tajuddin warned that Hadi’s narrative could deepen racial
and religious divisions and push the country towards unhealthy
conservatism.
“With respect to Hadi’s incredulous accusations of DAP and Malaysiakini
having an insidious agenda against Islam, I would like to ask three
institutions why they are not responding to Hadi's toxic narrative that
will divide this country and may cause an irreversible change towards
unhealthy religious and racial conservatism,” he said.
The architecture professor first turned his attention to state muftis. “Firstly,
why are the muftis silent against this tirade of Hadi? Are they afraid
of him? Are the muftis incapable intellectually of countering his
Quranic interpretation? Or do the muftis agree with him?” he asked.
He
then took aim at Muslim NGOs including the Malaysian Islamic Youth
Movement (Abim) and Pertubuhan Ikram Malaysia (Ikram), which have been
associated with progressive Islamic thought. “Secondly, why are
NGOs such as Abim and Ikram silent like a cemetery? Did they not sweep
the country with the idea of progressive political Islam? Or are they
afraid of conservative Malay backlash that will destroy their business
interests?” he said.
PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang
Tajuddin
then questioned academics, asking why none had spoken up in defence of
the Federal Constitution and Rukun Negara or offered an alternative
national narrative on Islam and Malaysia.
apanama is back : It is time for Abdul Hadi Awang to be put in jail after arrest, prosecution, and sentencing. There is no point in issuing a statement, questioning the muftis, Muslim NGOs, and academics, making a police report, collecting a statement from Hadi by the police, which will later be forgotten, or NFA, countering him, etc.
In fact, the Anwar administration is at fault because your inaction gives the perception that Hadi is untouchable when, by right, he is easily touchable if you choose to do so.
The PM has at his disposal the police, FRU, special commandos, and the Army, which will ensure public order in case that racist fellow is arrested and jailed, unless the PM is a coward and prefers to play safe, which gives Hadi an extra mile to be even more racist.
Everyone is saying Abdul Hadi Awang is dangerous to our social fabric, but no one dares to get rid of him by jailing him.
DO NOT CARE about his age and health when he himself does not care when issuing racist and unfounded statements, hiding behind his "Tak Ada Minda President" His mouth is toxic.
If I were the Prime Minister today, Abdul Hadi Awang would be in jail for a very long time.
For me, my country's safety, social cohesion, and secularism are important.
Get rid of that toxic person once and for all.
Remember one thing: Hadi is trying hard to increase the number of conservative voters rather than progressive voters for the next GE, and MADani seems relaxed and will later blame him, even though MADani currently has the power to curtail it.
Hadi will repeat his antics.
Dr Suresh Kumar : As usual the head of PKR's kepala (President) is buried in the sand. His modus operandi whenever the nons get insulted. Where are the other PKR Malay leaders? When one of your coalition partners is getting insulted, is it not your duty to defend them?
When a so-called pious man is cooking up a diabolical plot to destroy your partner and the harmony of the nation, is it not your collective responsibility to speak out? Perhaps the royals can reprimand the old man as he is getting out of control with his daily dose of venom.
