Malaysiakini : The Yang di-Pertuan Agong hoped the Election Commission (EC) will fix an election date that can be held soon, Istana Negara said today.
According to the comptroller of the royal household Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, the Agong had hoped for a date that will happen before the middle of November when the Northeast Monsoon is expected to begin.
In a statement, Fadil said the Agong had granted caretaker prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob an audience at noon yesterday and received a proposal to dissolve Parliament.
"His Majesty had expressed his disappointment with the latest political developments but had no choice but to consent to the request of the prime minister in order to return the mandate to the rakyat to choose a stable government," he added.
GrayTuna3678 : Feeling abandoned for the 2nd time since the collapse of PH. Hoping for a repeat of GE14 with a stronger and fiercer turn out to give a solid mandate to non corrupt parties
Beman : Not sure what advice the King has received. The monsoon season is not something starts exactly on 15 November and ends exactly on 15 March.
Turnedback : I cannot trust the Instant and not practical budget presented, voters must not fall into their trap.
Otak center : A sane mind could save lifes and properties but this case is a human foolish thinking for those who allow this GE to go ahead. No humans can 100% predict correctly when the storm starts to flood.
Ghost Rider : Election Commission Chairman Azmi Sharom, another TRAITOR. 😂😂😂
Ghost Rider : BN win big, KLEPTOCRCY will continue, Najib and Ponorogo in power? SGD to RM will be 4.50 and USD to RM will be 6.50.
By that, grass also cannot afford, can only eat sand. I think Sabah and Sarawak will want out of the Federation because Islamic Extremism will increase. Most probably the southernmost will want out as well.
Newday : One month at most. What of those that will be postal voters? Their votes are essentially wiped out. Postal voting generally favours the Opposition Parties. A minimum 6 weeks till polling day is fair and reasonable. Can’t wait for the actual date.
Read it all here..........Is feeling like GE14 all over again with postal votes. Midweek like last time? Well that savagely backfired on you lot didn’t it. It will again. Respectfully Agong, the rakyat could have happily waited until March or April 2023 to have the mandate returned.
JazliSalleh : Everyone thought that the Rakyat's safety and wellbeing would have been given priority. However, in Malaysia the politicians' safety and wellbeing supercedes everything else. What a joke??
NoobMaster69 : We all know that who is busy rocking the boat wanting to have election during monsoon. Please vote out this selfish BN government. We don't need a government that their only interest is to get themselves out of jail!
