KJ: Where will I contest? Up to Umno leadership By Malaysiakini Team

Malaysiakini : Despite the dissolution of Parliament to make way for the 15th general election (GE15), incumbent Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin’s fate on where he would be fielded remains a mystery.

Speaking to the press this afternoon, Khairy stressed that the Umno leadership will decide on the matter and he will abide by the party’s decision.

“I will obey party decisions, whether I’ll be fielded or not. And if I’m contesting, (I will accept) where I will be (fielded),” he said after launching a book titled ‘An Overview of Disaster Life Support in Disaster Management’ at World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur.

“We must have faith in the party leadership. If not, there will be a lot of confusion,” he added.

Solo : Local politics, you upset the President then you get sent to the dog shed. Zahid will send you to KL or Penang. He thinks you need time to pontificate.

OrangeJaguar9341 : Anyone who has faith in UMNO's current crop of leaders is in a pitiable state of denial. Years of toeing the line, and blind support have not served you well. KJ, you are so much better than this. Wake up, or you'll find yourself on the wrong side of history.

Bosku Merpati : Ha ha they will field you in Rembau. ‘Have faith in the leadership’ is a dead giveaway . Just some wayang ku lit to show that you are toeing the party line.

When have you had faith in a guy who is facing criminal charges or another who stole billions ? Mat Hassan will go for a safe seat and won’t face the wrath of voters if the party de-lists you.

You should trap him into Rembau and let the voters react instead n take a safe seat ; or fight out in PD where the voters may want to send you back to parliament since Brader won’t contest there.

JazliSalleh : Dynamic and hardworking Ministers are not favoured by Umno. If you are a crook, you stand a better chance to contest in safe seats. It had been like that in Umno from Mahathir days.

That is why Mahathir is also always surrounded by crooks and idiots. The culture has been ingrained from his days. That is why Umno cannot progress. They are stuck in a rut.
