Malaysiakini : Umno vice-president Johari Abdul Ghani has been appointed as the new BN treasurer-general, to replace predecessor Hishammuddin Hussein.
BN secretary-general Zambry Abd Kadir said the decision to appoint Titiwangsa MP Johari (above) was made during the coalition’s supreme council meeting last night.
More comments here....In addition, two other Umno vice presidents – Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail and Mohamed Khaled Nordin – as well as PBRS information chief Freddy Sua were appointed as representatives in the BN supreme council.
Zambry also announced several other appointments of representatives in the council. “The BN supreme council meeting also agreed on the appointment of Muhamad Akmal Saleh and Nurul Amal Mohd Fauzi as representatives of the Youth and Puteri movements, respectively,” he said in a statement last night.
