Inside Malaysia’s Controversial Anti-Corruption Commission - Bloomberg Investigates

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission was set up to fight graft. Now some of its members have been accused of the very wrongdoing they are meant to stop, allegedly helping a group of businessmen seize control of companies.

Questions about the commission’s conduct go all the way to the top. Since Bloomberg published its reporting, Malaysia’s cabinet has ordered an investigation into the allegations surrounding MACC Chief Commissioner Azam Baki, while hundreds of Malaysians gathered in Kuala Lumpur calling for his arrest. The "we investigated ourselves and find no issue" will be a problem.
