Malaysiakini : COMMENT | Who is arguably the most powerful man in Malaysia today? Certainly not the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, and not even Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

Observers argue it is Azam Baki, the MACC chief commissioner, whose position gives him enormous influence over enforcement, allowing rules to be applied selectively.

While the bogeyman of the so-called “corporate mafia” - the network of business actors and officials whose actions are widely feared but largely invisible - keeps politicians, bureaucrats, and companies cautious, ensuring compliance without full exposure. The anti-corruption agency is now helping the powerful instead of holding them accountable.

Outlier : He has a dirt file on everyone, and I mean everyone, just like J Edgar Hoover of FBI where presidents and congress couldn’t even remove him.

Sealthedeal : Well said Mariam. It's a shocking state of affairs. A hypocrite PM and an enforcement agency accused of corruption. They are protecting themselves. 

The rule of law for these people doesn't exist and now the tainted PDRM is charged with investigating an organisation that has power over even them.

Rat Catcher : Malaysia needs a clean slate, not UMNO, ex UMNO, PKR, PN etc like wolves in sheep's cloths. With these seasoned lot, nothing much will change.
